Queen Bee Market & Ticket Giveaway

Remember how I said we were going to have a ticket giveaway posted on the site last week?

SNAP ticket giveaway

Well, let’s just say the end of my work week, coupled with site issues sort of blew that one out of the water…

BUT, it’s here today. Along with a few other important conference-related issues. Read on…

Queen Bee Market

When we launched SNAP! last spring, one of the elements I was most excited about was the involvement of The Queen Bee Market. Queen Bee is one of the premiere handmade markets in the Western United States and brought tremendous credibility to our event right from the beginning.

I have been anxious for Mique (have you seen her gorgeous new site?) to announce the opening of the application process for months. (Confession: I want to know who’s going to be there so that I can plan out my shopping experience in advance!) The day has finally arrived! She is accepting applications through January 31 for the limited number of spots at the SNAP! show.

One of the benefits of participating in Queen Bee is that each application is reviewed thoroughly to ensure that the product offerings and price points are varied. In addition, the show offers  centralized check out – you can participate in the market and enjoy our conference!

The Queen Bee Market at SNAP! will be open to both conference attendees and the public Friday, April 20 from 7-9 p.m. for a SNAP! party and then on Saturday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Conference Tickets

Just a reminder that the cost for a full conference ticket will be increasing this Friday, Jan. 20. Please take advantage of the lower price this week!

If you’ve already registered, go grab a button for your site.

Giveaway

We are thrilled to be offering our most ardent supporters the chance to win one all inclusive ticket to SNAP!

This giveaway is the first of the three 2012 giveaways SNAP! will be hosting prior to the conference.

Ready to roll? Here are the rules:

  1. Post about this giveaway, sharing why you would like to attend SNAP! and deserve a free ticket by Friday, January 20 at midnight MST. In your post, please link to www.snaptheconference.com. Include the phrase “craft and DIY social media conference” or something similar.
  2. Link your post to the linky below. This linky will be open until Friday, January 20 at midnight.
  3. Follow the SNAP! blog RSS feed.

Starting Saturday, January 21, we will open the linky to public voting. Voting will close on Friday, January 27.

The winner of the ticket will be selected at random from the top three vote earners, plus one wildcard selected at random.

There are no extra votes for this giveaway, however you’re encouraged to share them on Twitter and Facebook.

If you tag SNAP! in your tweet and/or on FaceBook you will receive the additional exposure.

If you choose to buy a ticket before ticket prices go up at the end of the week and then win a ticket, we will refund your ticket purchase.

We’re really excited about what you have to share with us! So, get ready, get set, link up!

    • Tauni says:

Stacie, On Saturday when public voting opens people will be able to come over to your link and vote right on the page! No comments necessary. Easy peasy.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

      xoxo

  5. I noticed that after I vote (and after my friends vote) it just reloads the page, and it still says that there’s one vote left. Are the votes happening properly? Thanks!

    P.S. I really hope I win–I could use the good news/luck :-)

    • Tauni says:

Thanks for your question. Votes are piling up on the back end…There is just one vote per ip address, so even if people vote twice it is only counted once.

I will take a closer look and see if I can get it to change when the page is refreshed.

  6. Lina says:

Hi what happened to the numbers under the link? People were saying they came to vote and there’s nothing to click on..:(

    Lina @fancy frugal life

    • Tauni says:

Lina, the system will only recognize one vote per IP address. Once the vote has been cast, the ability to vote disappears. This is to prevent one person from sitting at the computer and voting over and over…

      Thanks,
      Tauni

      • Lina says:

Ok I get it now. Once a vote is cast no number appears. Because this morning that wasn’t the case. Thanks so much for the clarification :)
        Lina

        • Tauni says:

Lina, I think you must have logged on right when I was working on the site :) There was a super brief period where I was doing some programming and the numbers were showing. Oops!

          xoxo

  7. Kristal says:

    Hi Tauni!

Is there a way for us to see how many votes we have so far and from whom if possible?

    • Tauni says:

Sorry. Voters are not required to log-in so there is no way to tell who has voted. I will not be posting who’s ahead, but about half the entries have either the same entries, or are within one vote.

      Thanks,
      Tauni
